COMPLIANCE ASSURANCE VISIT

THE RECOGNITION COMPONENT OF
ILLINOIS SCHOOL ACCREDITATION PROCESS

The Regional Office of Education conducts compliance assurance visits following a four (4) year rotation.  As nearly as possible, an equal number of school districts will be evaluated each year over this four-year period.  Districts have been selected so as not to schedule two large districts in the same year.  Even though it will be necessary to make annual adjustments to the schedule, the full compliance assurance visit will happen once every four years.  However, it will be necessary to evaluate those districts receiving compliance designations of “pending compliance,” “probationary compliance,” or “non-compliance” on a more frequent basis.
