Improvement thru Non-Traditional Curriculum
(A Workforce Investment Area grant)
The LINC program serves youth from the ages of 14 through 21 in Lee County who meet the eligibility requirements of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). LINC is an after school and summer school program located at Dixon High School. Students who are currently enrolled in school and are behind in academic credits may work toward credit recovery using an approved computer based program with instruction by certified teachers. Students who are no longer attending school can work toward a GED.
The program offers a career focus in all aspects, as well as Life Skills training. LINC offers opportunity to develop knowledge, skills, confidence and experience which promote academic achievement, employment, self-sufficiency, responsibility, and core belief systems to guide youth in long-term educational, employment, and life goals.
